Outpatient Behavioral Health Care
Eagle View Behavioral Health offers outpatient care for adults and adolescents in Bettendorf, Iowa.
Our outpatient care offerings include Day Programs (also known as Partial Hospitalization/PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Programs, catering to the needs of adults and adolescents with general challenges, such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and other psychiatric disorders. Our outpatient program is designed for individuals who benefit from a structured day program that fosters healing.
Partial Hospitalization Program
The Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) is designed for individuals with primary psychiatric disorders who require intensive support and structure but not 24-hour inpatient care.
The program provides support and treatment for adults facing emotional or mental difficulties, and who may have substance abuse problems. Partial hospitalization is an outpatient program for the diagnosis and/or active treatment of a serious mental disorder in a consistent, structured environment that allows patients to maintain their usual living arrangements with their families.
A PHP can function as a “step down” from hospitalization or a “step up” when outpatient treatment is not effectively meeting the patient’s needs. It is also a good transition from inpatient to outpatient care.
The level of care provided in a PHP is necessary to maintain the patient’s progress and prevent relapse or readmission to the hospital.
PHP is designed for those who do not require the intensity of a hospital setting but are still having some emotional or behavioral issues that need to be addressed more intensely than what can be provided in a traditional outpatient setting.
Adult patients attend PHP five days per week for five hours a day, after which they can return home in the evening. The length of PHP is approximately 10 sessions over 2 weeks.
Adolescents in this program also attend five days a week, participating for up to six hours daily, with the flexibility to return home in the evening.
Meet Rachel Walton, our Virtual Outpatient Therapist at Eagle View
I have always had a passion for mental health. Being a light to people in a very dark time is such a rewarding experience. Reminding someone they aren’t alone through their darkest moments is essential to healing, and I strive every day to remind our patients that they are seen.
- Rachel leads our Virtual Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) at Eagle View, held Tuesday–Thursday from 12:30–3:30 PM.
Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)
Day Treatment (or Partial Hospitalization) is designed for adults and adolescents with primary psychiatric disorders who require intensive support and structure without 24-hour inpatient care. Patients attend PHP five days per week for five hours a day, after which they can return home in the evening while attending treatment at our facility during the day. The length of the Day Program is determined with the counselor and patient, and can be changed based on need.
Intensive Outpatient Program
Sometimes called “Outpatient Day Treatment” or “Part-Time Treatment,” the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) provides a therapeutic, structured environment while allowing patients to maintain a work-life balance.
Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is also called Day Treatment. It provides further stabilization in a therapeutic environment for clients who do not require the structure of a full-day program like our PHP.
IOP is for those seeking seeking further stabilization in a therapeutic environment who do not require the structure of a full-day program like our PHP. While continuing to live at home, patients are able to gain extra support in their daily lives by working on their psychiatric and substance abuse concerns.
Adult patients in this program meet three days per week for three hours a day, giving them greater flexibility to manage other commitments with their families, work or other treatment professionals. We offer both in-person and telehealth/virtual IOP for adults.
Adolescents (ages 12-15) in the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), attend sessions three days a week, each lasting three hours. This structure allows students to continue their education while receiving the necessary treatment.
The length of the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is approximately 12 sessions over 4 weeks. See our IOP / PHP Schedule for more information.
- Group therapy settings
- Continued physician oversight
- The patient lives at home and attends the outpatient center during the day
- Further stabilization and transition back into productive activities at home, at work, and in the community
