Adult Outpatient Mental Health
About Our Adult Outpatient Mental Health Program
The Adult Outpatient Mental Health Program at Eagle View Behavioral Health is designed to provide structured, compassionate care for individuals who need more support than traditional outpatient therapy, but do not require inpatient hospitalization. By offering both a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) to adults, Eagle View creates a flexible continuum of care that meets clients where they are in their mental health journey while helping them build sustainable skills for long-term wellness.
At the core of the program is the understanding that mental health recovery is not one-size-fits-all. Each client enters treatment with a unique set of experiences, challenges, and goals. Upon admission, individuals undergo a comprehensive assessment that evaluates their emotional, psychological, and behavioral needs. From there, a personalized treatment plan is developed, guiding their participation in either PHP, IOP, or a step-down progression between the two levels of care.

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP):
Structured, Intensive Support
The Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) serves as the more intensive option. Clients in PHP typically attend programming five days a week for several hours each day. This level of care is ideal for individuals who are experiencing significant symptoms, such as depression, anxiety, mood instability, or trauma-related issues, but who are stable enough to live safely outside of a hospital setting. PHP provides a highly structured therapeutic environment where clients engage in a full schedule of clinical services while still returning home in the evenings. This balance allows individuals to practice new coping strategies in real-world settings while maintaining a strong therapeutic foundation during the day.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP):
Flexible, Step-Down Care
As clients make progress, many transition into the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), which offers a more flexible schedule while continuing to provide meaningful clinical support.
IOP typically meets several days per week for fewer hours than PHP, making it an excellent option for those who are beginning to reintegrate into work, school, or family responsibilities.
The step-down approach from PHP to IOP ensures continuity of care and helps reduce the risk of relapse or setbacks by gradually increasing independence while maintaining access to therapeutic resources.

Comprehensive Therapies and Whole-Person Support
Both PHP and IOP at Eagle View Behavioral Health emphasize evidence-based treatment modalities through group therapy. Group therapy is a central component of the program, offering a supportive space where individuals can connect with others facing similar challenges, share experiences, and learn from one another. Topics often include emotional regulation, stress management, communication skills, and relapse prevention. Licensed clinicians guide these sessions, incorporating approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care.
In addition to traditional clinical therapies, Eagle View places a strong emphasis on holistic healing. Clients are encouraged to engage in meditation and mindfulness practices as part of their daily routine. These techniques help individuals develop greater self-awareness, reduce stress, and improve emotional regulation. Meditation sessions may include guided breathing exercises, body scans, and grounding techniques, all designed to help clients stay present and manage overwhelming thoughts or feelings. Over time, these practices can become powerful tools that clients carry with them long after completing the program.
Life skills development is another key pillar of the outpatient program. Many individuals struggling with mental health conditions find that everyday tasks—such as maintaining a routine, managing time effectively, or communicating needs—can become overwhelming. Through structured life skills training, clients learn practical strategies to navigate daily life with greater confidence and independence. This may include goal setting, problem-solving, financial management basics, healthy lifestyle habits, and building supportive relationships. By strengthening these foundational skills, clients are better equipped to handle real-world challenges and maintain stability outside of treatment.
Continuity of Care and Discharge Planning
Another important aspect of the program is its focus on continuity of care. Discharge planning begins early in the treatment process, ensuring that each client has a clear path forward upon completing PHP or IOP.
This may include referrals to outpatient therapists, psychiatrists, support groups, or community resources.
The goal is to create a seamless transition that supports ongoing growth and minimizes the risk of regression.
Empowering Lasting Recovery and Whole-Person Wellness
Ultimately, the Adult Outpatient Mental Health Program at Eagle View Behavioral Health is designed to empower individuals to take control of their mental health in a supportive, structured, and flexible environment. By combining clinical excellence with holistic practices like meditation and life skills training, the program addresses not only symptoms but the whole person. Clients leave with a deeper understanding of themselves, stronger coping mechanisms, and the confidence needed to navigate life’s challenges with resilience and purpose.
